Fortnite Discover Gets a Redesign Starting October 15
Epic starts rolling out a new Discover on October 15, with a video hero carousel, autoplay clips, sharper logos and a Top 10 row, plus new thumbnail rules for creators.

What Players Will See

Fortnite's Discover screen gets a new look from October 15, rolled out in phases. The top of the screen becomes an edge-to-edge hero carousel fed by video, with several rotating spots.
In Epic's Picks, tiles play a short muted trailer clip when you hover over them. Logos are layered over the art at display time, so they stay sharp at any size, and a ranked Top 10 row uses larger portrait tiles. Tiles also show a like percentage and New or Updated highlights.
Island pages can now add a muted gameplay video next to the screenshots and the trailer.
New Rules for Island Creators
Creators get four new asset types in the Creator Portal: a gameplay video for the island page, two portrait thumbnails (one with the logo baked in, one art only), an art-only landscape thumbnail and a transparent island name logo.
From October 22, portrait thumbnails, landscape thumbnails and the logo are required to publish or update an island. Starting October 15, Content Pre-Checks also review thumbnails against Discover best practices, and thumbnails that miss them hurt an island's ranking.
Epic also shared its spam numbers: more than 81,000 spam islands removed since March, and its latest ban waves took down 44,535 duplicate islands and 707 accounts.
Outfits for Your New Thumbnails
Epic reminds creators to use only Epic-owned or permitted outfits in their promo art. FortniteRenders has 4K renders on a transparent background and rigged 3D Blender models (.blend) of Fortnite outfits, ready for portrait and landscape thumbnails.
